About the game - Bullet Feast!

Thank you so much for playing the game and clicking here to learn more about it! In this devlog, I'd like to cover the process, design and thinking behind the game, as well as how it fits the game jam theme.

ABOUT THE GAME

I tried something new with this one - focusing on really making the core gameplay as polished and engaging as I can, rather than creating as much content as possible.

I really tried to fine-tune and polish certain features and mechanics in order to make them as satisfying as possible. The main/core gameplay is pretty simple - you shoot at food, and try not to let the food touch you (or you eat it and grow bigger.) This way I could really focus on the player experience and make the game as fun and replayable as I could.

Since the jam was only 2 days long, I really had to plan out what I wanted to add. I couldn't add as much additional content and features as I would have liked, so I had to plan accordingly and use my time well.

HOW IT FITS THE THEME:

The whole game is centered around food, so it's pretty clear how it fits the theme "Food." As for the the prerequisite, "The Goal Is Food", I made the goal of the game to harvest and destroy as much food as possible. The goal is maximum food destruction, which matches the prerequisite fairly well.

I hope you enjoyed the game. Thanks again for reading!
